Job Description:• Assumes responsibilities of Executive Housekeeper in her absence.

• Assists to direct the functions of administration and planning of the Housekeeping Department to meet the daily needs of the operations.

• Supervises and carry out the procedures and policies established with Front Office Food & Beverage, Laundry, Engineering, Human Resource, Security, Linen room, Flower room and gardener for the smooth running of the operation.

• Inspects rooms, lobbies, all function rooms, meeting rooms, back of house for cleanliness and also to determine the need for shampooing, spring cleaning and make recommendations.

• Inspects public restrooms, team members changing rooms, offices, etc.

• Supervises and provides feedback on staff ensuring all actions are taken as specified with reference to standard and procedures.

• Read log books and follow up as required.

• Revises daily work schedule depending on occupancy.

• Makes physical inspection of out of order rooms, VIPs and long stay guest rooms.

• Recommends rooms to be put out of order and when to release.

• Chairs the morning briefings/meetings in the absence of Executive Housekeeper.

• Delegates, distributes and describes instructions and follow up items issued to floor and public area.
• Represents as an active team player with a “hands on” approach.

• Co-ordinates repairs and trouble reports

• Screens applicants, trains new team members and recommends disciplinary action or dismissals.

• Recommend and prepare new purchases.

• To assist with room projects.

• Prepares vacation list.

• Investigate complaints and takes corrective measures.

• Determines discards of linens, drapes, etc…

• Help to foster a more harmonious environment for the Housekeeping by bringing herself/himself closer and getting more involved in their daily activities.

• From time to time to assist in other additional duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper/Management.
