The Royal Cliff Beach Resort welcomes the new Russian Ambassador to ThailandOn the 3rd of April 2010, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort was honoured to welcome a very special guest in His Excellency Alexander G. Maryasov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Thailand who was only appointed recently, and Madame Irina B. Maryasova.Rather than this being a leisure trip, His Excellency’s visit to the luxury resort served as a courtesy visit to the Honorary Consul of Russia for Chonburi and Rayong provinces, Khun Panga Vathanakul who is also the Managing Director of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort and PEACH (Pattaya Exhibition and Conference Hall). Following the welcome by Khun Panga and the local consular staff, His Excellency and Madame were taken on an inspection of the consular premises within the resort as well as a tour of Pattaya and the surrounding area which culminated in a special speedboat trip along the Pattaya shoreline and the nearby islands. During his stay at the Royal Cliff Grand Hotel & Spa, the Ambassador enjoyed a dinner hosted by Khun Panga at the Royal Cliff whilst the local Russian community were also given the honour of hosting His Excellency. The Resort enjoys a history of welcoming Russian visitors to Pattaya, Thailand and only recently received an award from Travel.ru, one of the most popular internet tourist resources as voted by independent Russian travellers.
