ไม่เพียงเท่านั้น ในงานนี้ยังมีเหล่าคนดังมากหน้าหลายตาในวงการภาพยนตร์ที่จะมาปรากฏตัวงาน ผู้กำกับชื่อดัง Jonathan Demme (The Silence of the Lambs) จะมาเปิดตัวภาพยนตร์เรื่องใหม่ Fear of Falling ร่วมสนทนาในมาสเตอร์คลาสและตอบคำถามเกี่ยวกับมุมมองของเขาต่อภาพยนตร์ อีกหนึ่งผู้กำกับ Larry Clark (Kids, Marfa Girl) จะมาเป็นประธานในคณะกรรมการการประกวดภาพยนต์ CinemaXXI ส่วนหัวหน้ากรรมการตัดสิน คือ ผู้กำกับ James Gray (Little Odessa, The Yards และ We Own the Night)

รายชื่อภาพยนตร์ที่เข้าร่วมประกวดมีเรื่อง Her กำกับโดย Spike Jonze และนำแสดงโดย Joaquin Phoenix เรื่อง Out of the Furnace นำแสดงโดย Christian Bale เรื่อง Dallas Buyers Club นำแสดงโดย Matthew McConaughey และเรื่อง Another Me นำแสดงโดย Sophie Turner ภาคต่อของภาพยนตร์ชื่อดัง The Hunger Games อย่าง The Hunger Games: Catching Fire ก็จะมาฉายรอบปฐมทัศน์ก่อนเปิดตัวที่อเมริกาที่นี่เช่นกัน นอกจากภาพยนตร์ที่กล่าวมา ยังมีสิ่งที่น่าสนใจอีกมากมายที่จะมาแสดงในงาน คนดังจากวงการภาพยนตร์ โทรทัศน์และแฟชั่นก็มารวมตัวกันที่นี่

Agoda.com lays out red carpet deals for the Rome Film Festival

SINGAPORE (October 2, 2013) – Agoda.com, Asia’s leading hotel booking site and part of Nasdaq-listed Priceline Group (Nasdaq:PCLN), is lining up great hotel deals in Rome in the leadup for the world famous Rome Film Festival.

First held in 2006, the event has quickly become a major occasion for those working within the film industry as well as those who are merely fans. Directors, producers, writers and stars descend on Rome to celebrate their love of the art, participate in seminars and round-table discussions, and attend world premieres from some of the industry’s leading names.

This year the event will be held from November 8-17 at the magnificent Auditorium Parco della Musica, the world’s most-visited musical facility, and will include the world premiere of 16 feature length films, 12 gala screenings of international and European premiere films. In addition, various celebrities and notable names from world cinema will be in attendance. Celebrated director Jonathan Demme (The Silence of the Lambs) will premier his new film Fear of Falling and will chair a master class and Q&A session with the audience about his views on cinema. Controversial director Larry Clark (Kids, Marfa Girl) will preside over the International Jury of the CinemaXXI, while the jury for films in competition will be headed by James Gray (Little Odessa, The Yards and We Own the Night).

In competition are Spike Jonze’s Her starring Joaquin Phoenix, Out of the Furnace starring Christian Bale, Dallas Buyers Club starring Matthew McConaughey, and Another Me starring Sophie Turner, among others. The high-profile film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will also have its world premiere, 8 days before it opens in the US. In addition to these films, dozens more will be showing in various capacities, attended by celebrities from the world of film, television and fashion.

The prestige of the event is no doubt highlighted by the prestige of Rome itself. Nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome has served as a hub of art, culture, politics and food for thousands of years, and a few minutes’ walk is all it takes to end up surrounded by ancient monuments, soaring architectural marvels or iconic structures such as the Coliseum or Trevi Fountain.
