Hilton Pattaya Joins Hilton Worldwide’s Largest Global Career EventPATTAYA, Thailand – May 20, 2015 – Hilton Pattaya has taken part in Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality Month, Hilton Worldwide’s largest ever global career event, showcasing the many opportunities available in the hospitality industry to young people. Throughout the month of May, Hilton Worldwide hotels and corporate offices around the globe are hosting hundreds of events to inform those looking for employment, including young people, about the vast array of exciting opportunities available to all in the hospitality industry. This event is part of Bright Blue Futures, a global program that encourages Team Members to donate their time and expertise to help young people achieve stability and bring hope to their communities, preparing them for a brighter future.Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality events are a unique opportunity for Hilton Worldwide Team Members to inspire those looking for employment about careers in the hospitality industry, and to support them by providing guidance on the skills that are vital to succeed in the workplace and beyond. Participants have been joining Hilton Worldwide Team Members for events ranging from résumé clinics to career speed-networking. Team Members also present career path opportunities to those in attendance. On April 30, Hilton Pattaya hosted an event that hosted 60 young people from Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus to join the hotel’s open house activities. The students were assigned to different groups and visited several departments, especially Operations including Front Desk, Kitchen, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, Spa, Health Club, Engineering, Call Center as well as Human Resources. Students enjoyed a lunch buffet while learning about table manners and etiquette. They were also entertained by the hotel’s Team Members’ live band, Rock Service, and participated in quiz games on stage to receive prizes. Rudolf Troestler, general manager, Hilton Pattaya said “Young people continue to face challenging employment prospects, so it is more important than ever to make sure they receive information and advice about the options available and the skills and attributes they will need once they embark on their chosen careers. We are passionate about raising awareness of the opportunities the hospitality industry offers and we are delighted to be doing this through one of our biggest ever careers event across the globe.” Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality Month is part of Hilton Worldwide’s Open Doors commitment, which aims to positively impact at least one million young people by 2019 and to better prepare them to reach their full potential.
