ฮิลตัน พัทยา เปิดสวนผักไฮโดรโปนิกส์ลอยฟ้า

โรงแรมฮิลตัน พัทยา นำโดย มร.รูดอลฟ์ โทรสเลอร์ ผู้จัดการทั่วไป พร้อมด้วยทีมผู้บริหารและเพื่อนพนักงาน เปิดตัวสวนผักไฮโดรโปนิกส์ลอยฟ้าแห่งแรกในเมืองพัทยา เพื่อปลูกฝังการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมกับเพื่อนพนักงาน รวมทั้งตระหนักถึงการใช้ทรัพยากรอย่างมีคุณค่า และยั่งยืน

สวนผักไฮโดรโปนิกส์ลอยฟ้าแห่งแรกในพัทยา ตั้งอยู่บนชั้น 18 ของโรงแรมฮิลตัน พัทยา ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากโครงการ Travel with Purpose ซึ่งเป็นโครงการต้นแบบของเครือโรงแรมฮิลตัน จัดตั้งขึ้นโดยการตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของสิ่งแวดล้อม และชุมชนในทั้ง 4 ด้าน ได้แก่ การสร้างโอกาส, การเสริมสร้างชุมชน, การสืบสานวัฒนธรรม และการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม

“สวนผักไฮโดรโปนิกส์ลอยฟ้าแห่งนี้ถูกจัดทำขึ้นโดยใช้พื้นที่ว่างบริเวณบนดาดฟ้าของห้องทำงานแผนกช่าง เพื่อส่งเสริมการใช้วัตถุดิบจากท้องถิ่นตามฤดูกาลอย่างมีคุณค่า นอกจากนี้ยังเชิญชวนเพื่อนพนักงานเรียนรู้การปลูกพืชโดยไม่ใช้ดิน การเก็บเกี่ยว และพัฒนาต้นอ่อนอีกด้วย ผลผลิตที่ได้จากสวนผักแห่งนี้ยังถูกนำไปต่อยอดใช้เป็นวัตุดิบในเมนูต่างๆ ของห้องอาหาร บาร์ รวมถึงห้องอาหารของพนักงาน เช่น ใบสะระแหน่ ใช้ประดับตกแต่งเครื่องดื่มที่บาร์ ผักสลัดและใบกระเพรานำไปปรุงอาหารที่ห้องอาหารของพนักงาน ในอนาคตเชฟยังมีแนวความคิดนำวัตถุดิบจากสวนผัก ไปใช้ในเมนูอาหารพิเศษสำหรับลูกค้าในโครงการ Meet with Purpose อีกด้วย” คุณชาตรี งามสุวรรณ หัวหน้าแผนกช่าง กล่าว

Hilton Pattaya Introduces Rooftop Hydroponics Farm

Hilton Pattaya’s General Manager, Mr.Rudolf Troestler, together with management team and team members introduces Hilton Pattaya first Hydroponics Farm to build a more integrated sustainability culture, encouraging environmentally-smart choices both inside and outside of work.

One of the highest hydroponics farms in Pattaya was inspired by ‘Travel with Purpose’, the projects which addressed hundreds of societal needs around the world, focused on engaging Team Members and delivering on Hilton Worldwide's commitment by creating opportunities, strengthening communities, celebrating cultures and living sustainably.

“The floating hydroponics garden is now happening at the rooftop of Engineer Department. The produce from the hydroponics farm are used in many areas of the hotel, for example; Mint are used as a garnish for cocktail at bars, green oak, lettuce mix and basil are the main ingredients for many menus in team member’s cafeteria. Furthermore, we’re working with Chef’s on using our fresh vegetables for the client’s special ‘Meet with Purpose’ menu.” said Chatree Ngamsuwan, Hilton Pattaya Chief Engineer
