Situated on an exclusive secluded sandy beach and crystal-clear waters of Choeng Mon Beach, on the north-eastern tip of Koh Samui Island in the Gulf of Thailand, Meliá Koh Samui is the first property in Thailand launched under Spanish hotel group Meliá Hotels International. It has been recognised as Top 20 Resorts in Thailand by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards magazine in 2021.

Opened January 10, 2020, the five-star resort’s host of world-class facilities include a 700-metre-long lagoon pool that meanders through the resort’s lush grounds like a river and a picture-perfect two-level infinity pool with sunken seating and in-water loungers.

The nautical-themed resort, that pays tribute to Thailand’s rich maritime history in an understated yet compelling way, is also home to two restaurants, one bar, the Level lounge, a swim-up bar, YHI spa, fitness centre, ballroom and, for families, a kid’s club, outdoor playground, and mini water park.

Meliá Koh Samui’s 159 rooms and 41 suites include rooms with private terraces that segue into the lagoon pool and elegant two-story “boat suites” made from meticulously refurbished teak wood merchant vessels.
