MASON holds morning beach yoga session led by an award-winning instructor and attended by Bow Benjawan Artner, marking International Yoga Day 2023 with a uniquely crafted experienceOn 21 June 2023, from 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM, MASON organized a special yoga session on its private beach to mark International Yoga Day 2023, observing the date for a second year in a row. Under the theme “Humanity,” the session sought to bring balance to the bodies and minds of participants while they enjoyed the first rays of the sun for the day and the scent of sea breezes. Guests of the pool villa resort were invited to attend, alongside Bow Benjawan Artner, who is well known for her love and dedication to physical fitness. Miss Bow remarked “exercise starts with the self and you discover what you enjoy until eventually it becomes your happiness.”The celebrity and all the guests taking part in the session were led by Kanyarat Thanmool, or Guide, an expert yoga instructor whose extensive training led to the winning of a Gold Medal at the 8th International Yogasana Championships 2023. Currently instructing at Guide Yoga Studio, the well-versed practitioner teaches the Hatha, Vinyasa and Foundation styles of yoga as well as provides volunteer instruction. MASON invited Guide to share her extensive knowledge on bettering the body and mind and reinvigorating everyone who took part in the morning session with positive energy. Yoga is an ancient practice that originated in India over 5,000 years ago, it is the art of making the body, mind and breath one so that balance between the physical and mental may be achieved. In recent years, yoga has gained worldwide appeal and has been a driver of Wellness Tourism, a new avenue of travel that has gained considerable interest. Data collected by Kasikorn Research Center in 2019 found more than 12.5 million wellness tourists across the globe and that Thailand was among their main destinations, indicating the upward trend for wellness tourism in the nation. MASON is one resort promoting Wellness Tourism as well as activities for environmental conservation. The International Yoga Day activity, under the theme Humanity, was organized on the property’s private beach so participants could indulge in the early morning sun and ambiance of rolling waves, bringing natural energy to the relaxing and rejuvenating event. The seaside yoga session was another affirmation of MASON’s distinction as a getaway destination, one that offers uniquely crafted experiences that enhance guest health.
