The ‘Zebra’ Exhibition by Bilou at Pullman Bangkok King Power hotel

Pullman Bangkok King Power hotel in cooperation with the artist Bilou proudly presents an exposition of Contemporary Canvas Art in the ‘Zebra’ exhibition.

The ‘Zebra’ exhibition showcases over 30 masterpieces by a renowned French artist, Mr. Bilou. The artist exhibits his new technique of acrylic on canvas through the painting of black and white zebras reflecting the similarity of all human-beings, while each stripe represents differences in race, culture, character and personality.

Mr. Bilou has generously donated some of his works for the auction, of which all money raised will go to the charity to support the Wild Animal Rescue Foundation of Thailand. The auction, as well as a show of Body Paint, will be organised as part of its opening reception on June 23, 2011 starting from 7 p.m. onwards at Wine Pub, Pullman Bangkok King Power.

About Bilou
Bilou is a French artist, graduated from the Ecole Des Beaux Arts - an art school in Nantes (France) - and the Christian Chauveau's Technical School of Artistic Make-up in Paris.

Bilou is an experienced and talented makeup artist, who has also learned and been in love with the art of Body Painting. He has lived more than 30 years in Asia - Hong Kong, Taiwan, Jakarta, Beijing and Bangkok – and currently is a full-time artist exhibiting his pieces of works at the Silom Galleria, the famous hotels and the renowned restaurants in Bangkok and overseas.

โรงแรมพูลแมน คิงเพาเวอร์ กรุงเทพฯ เชิญศิลปินชื่อดังชาวฝรั่งเศส บิลูว์ ร่วมแสดงผลงานศิลปะร่วมสมัยผ่านผืนผ้าใบแคนวาส ในชุดนิทรรศการ “Zebra”

มร. บิลูว์ ศิลปินชื่อดังชาวฝรั่งเศสที่มีผลงานศิลปะร่วมสมัยต่างๆ ที่สะท้อนถึงหลักปรัชญาสังคม โดยล่าสุดได้ออกผลงานใหม่ภายใต้คอนเซ็ป “Zebra” เป็นการถ่ายทอดแรงบันดาลใจที่ได้รับจากม้าลาย ผ่านผืนผ้าใบขนาดต่างๆ กว่า 30 ผลงาน โดยนิทรรศการศิลปะชุดนี้ เป็นการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานด้วยสีน้ำอะคริลิก ที่เล่าเรื่องราวผ่านภาพวาดม้าล้าย โดยมีแนวคิดหลักในการนำเสนอว่า “มนุษย์ทุกคนล้วนเกิดมาด้วยลักษณะที่คล้ายคลึงกัน ซึ่งจะแตกต่างกันไปตามแต่รายละเอียดของแต่ละคน ทั้งเชื้อชาติ ศาสนา รสนิยม รวมถึงนิสัย เฉกเช่นเดียวกับลายบนตัวของม้าลาย” มร. บิลูว์ กล่าว

นอกจากนี้ มร.บิลูว์ ได้คัดเลือกภาพวาดในชุด “Zebra” ออกประมูลเพื่อนำรายได้ทั้งหมดมอบให้กับมูลนิธิช่วยชีวิตสัตว์ป่าแห่งประเทศไทย ในวันเปิดนิทรรศการ 23 มิถุนายนนี้ ช่วงเวลา 19.00 น. ณ ห้องอาหารไวท์ผับ โดยภายในงานจะมีการแสดง “บอดี้เพ้นท์” บนเรือนร่างนางแบบ เพื่อแสดงให้ผู้เข้าชมงานได้เห็นถึงแนวคิดหลักในการนำเสนอผลงานชุดนี้

บิลูว์ จิตรกรชาวฝรั่งเศส สำเร็จการศึกษาจากโรงเรียนสอนศิลปะ Ecole Des Beaux Arts เมืองนองต์ (Nantes) ประเทศฝรั่งเศส และโรงเรียนสอนแต่งหน้านานาชาติ Christian Chauveau เมืองปารีส ประเทศฝรั่งเศส

บิลูว์เป็นเมคอัพอาร์ติสที่มากด้วยความสามารถและประสบการณ์ ใช้ชีวิตในเอเชียนานกว่า 30 ปี ไม่ว่าจะเป็นประเทศฮ่องกง ไต้หวัน อินโดนิเชีย และไทย ในอดีตเขาเคยดำรงตำแหน่งเป็นผู้อำนวยการในโรงเรียนสอนแต่งหน้าชื่อดังในไทเปและจาการ์ต้า ที่ซึ่งเขาได้ศึกษาศิลปะบนเรือนร่างของมนุษย์ หรือ บอดี้เพ้นท์ นั่นเอง บิลูว์ใช้ชีวิตเป็นจิตรกรอย่างจริงจังในประเทศไทย ปัจจุบันมีการแสดงผลงานที่ สีลมแกลอเรีย โรงแรมและร้านอาหารชื่อดังต่างๆ ในกรุงเทพฯ และในต่างประเทศ
