A FREE CONCERT TO STOP SHARK FINNING!

Swissôtel Le Concorde Bangkok is taking a step to help create awareness on the ban of shark fin. And the hotel invited everyone to be a part of this great cause by joined our guest of honour His Excellency W. Patrick Murphy, Deputy Chief of Mission, U.S. Embassy Bangkok, celebrities, children artists and conservationists stood in unison to raise awareness about sharks and the negative impact of shark’s fin soup at “FIN FREE CONCERT”, a free public concert held for sending happiness on Christmas’s Day and New Year. Education and individual action lie at the heart of this concert, which aims to kindle groundswell support among community to pledge themselves to stop purchase or consumption of shark fins.

“Project is jointly organized by Swissotel Le Concorde, Fin Free Thailand as part of hotel’s contribution aimed at reversing the culture of consuming shark’s fin soup, and garnering support for a banqueting ban at engaging public to learn about shark conservation.”

“There will also a fundraising activity of selling shark dolls as Christmas present for just THB 199 and THB 399 for larger size. All the proceeds of sales from the shark dolls will be used to support a nonprofit organization - FIN FREE THAILAND and also donated to children in need. Guest can also leave their purchased shark dolls with a note and hang on hotel’s Christmas tree where all of the dolls will be given to a needy child to brighten up their smiles.” For more information please call 02-694-2222.

คอนเสิร์ตบอกลา “หูฉลาม!”

โรงแรมสวิสโฮเต็ล เลอ คองคอร์ด กรุงเทพฯ ก้าวไปอีกขั้นในการช่วยสร้างความตระหนักเกี่ยวกับโครงการหยุดบริโภคหูฉลาม และเพื่อต้อนรับเทศกาลคริสต์มาสและปีใหม่ในปีนี้ทางโรงแรมฯ ได้จัดกิจกรรมคอนเสิร์ตบอกลา “หูฉลาม” เพื่อส่งความสุขสนุกสนานให้กับแขกทุกท่าน โดยได้รับเกียรติอย่างสูงในการเข้าร่วมงานจาก ดับเบิลยู. แพทริค เมอร์ฟีย์ อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา สถานทูตสหรัฐฯ กรุงเทพฯ, ประเทศไทย, ตัวแทนกลุ่มฟินฟรี ประเทศไทย, ศิลปินเด็ก เพื่อสร้างความเข้าใจในการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมและสร้างความตระหนักเกี่ยวกับการฆ่าฉลาม รวมถึงผลกระทบทางลบของการบริโภคซุปหูฉลาม รวมไปถึงการร่วมกันปฏิญาณที่จะไม่บริโภคหูฉลามอีกต่อไป นั่นคือหัวใจของคอนเสิร์ต “ฟินฟรีคอนเสิร์ต” ซึ่งกิจกรรมดังกล่าวมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อปลุกจิตสำนึกให้เกิดการสนับสนุนในหมู่ชุมชนและประชาชนทั่วไปในการปฏิญาณตนว่า “ฉันหยุดบริโภคหูฉลามแล้ว”

โครงการนี้เป็นความร่วมมือระหว่างโรงแรมสวิสโฮเต็ล เลอ คองคอร์ด กรุงเทพฯ และกลุ่มฟินฟรีประเทศไทย ซึ่งส่วนหนึ่งของเป้าหมายของโรงแรมคือการไม่สนับสนุนวัฒนธรรมการบริโภคหูฉลาม รวมถึงสนับสนุนการงดให้บริการหูฉลามทุกรูปแบบในงานจัดเลี้ยง ซึ่งประชาชนก็สามารถที่จะมีส่วนร่วมในการเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับการอนุรักษ์ปลาฉลามได้

นอกจากนี้ โรงแรมฯ ได้จัดกิจกรรมการกุศลเพื่อระดมทุนจากการจำหน่ายตุ๊กตาปลาฉลามที่สามารถให้เป็นของขวัญได้สำหรับขนาดเล็กเพียงราคาตัวละ 199 บาท ขนาดใหญ่ราคาตัวละ 399 บาท ซึ่งรายได้ทั้งหมดจากยอดขายตุ๊กตาปลาฉลามนำไปสนับสนุนองค์กรไม่แสวงหากำไร – ฟินฟรี ประเทศไทย อีกทั้งมอบให้เพื่อช่วยเหลือแก่เด็กด้อยโอกาส ซึ่งแขกทุกท่านสามารถซื้อตุ๊กตาปลาฉลามและแขวนบนต้นคริสต์มาสของโรงแรมพร้อมเขียนข้อความให้กับเด็กๆ ซึ่งการมีส่วนร่วมของคุณในครั้งนี้สามารถนำรอยยิ้มให้ปรากฏบนใบหน้าของเด็กน้อยให้สดใสยิ่งขึ้นได้ สอบถามข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมกรุณาติดต่อที่โทร. 02-694-2222
