โรงแรมฮิลตัน พัทยา ร่วมกับไดเวอร์ซี่ มอบผ้าเพื่อชุมชน ในโครงการ Linens for Life™

เนื่องจากสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของโรคโควิด-19 ได้ส่งผลกระทบต่อการดำรงชีวิตของผู้คนเป็นจำนวนมาก โดยเฉพาะในชุมชนที่ขาดแคลน ทั้งทางด้านสุขอนามัย และการป้องกันตนเองให้ห่างไกลจากโรคดังกล่าว โรงแรมฮิลตัน พัทยา มีความตั้งมั่นในการช่วยเหลือสังคมและชุมชนตลอดมา จึงร่วมมือกับไดเวอร์ซี่ (Diversey) ในโครงการ Linens for Life™ ส่งมอบผ้าปูที่นอน ปลอกผ้าห่ม ปลอกหมอน และผ้ากันเปื้อนที่ผ่านการทำความสะอาดแล้ว ให้แก่ Cedar Learning Center เพื่อนำไปผลิตเป็นหน้ากากอนามัยแบบผ้า หรือดัดแปลงเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ใหม่อันเป็นประโยชน์แก่คนในชุมชน

Cedar Learning Centre เป็นศูนย์ผู้ลี้ภัย ตั้งอยู่ที่จังหวัดกรุงเทพมหานคร เพื่อวัตถุประสงค์ในการช่วยเหลือทางด้านการศึกษา และด้านมนุษยธรรมแก่เด็กและครอบครัวผู้ลี้ภัย

โครงการ Linens for Life™ เป็นการนำผ้าที่ไม่ได้ใช้แล้วมาดัดแปลงและผลิตเป็นของใช้ต่าง ๆ เพื่อเป็นประโยชน์แก่คนในชุมชน เช่น หน้ากากอนามัยแบบผ้า, ถุงกระดาษ, ถุงอเนกประสงค์, ชุดเครื่องแบบนักเรียน เป็นอีกหนึ่งโครงการดี ๆ ที่ช่วยเติมเต็มความหวังให้กับผู้ที่ขาดแคลน อีกทั้งยังช่วยลดผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม ในการนำของที่ไม่ได้ใช้แล้วภายในโรงแรม กลับมาสร้างประโยชน์ให้แก่สังคมอีกด้วย

Hilton Pattaya Sustainability Initiative in Thailand with Linens for Life™

The COVID-19 situation has so far affected every aspect of the lives. Hilton Pattaya in partnership with Diversey, witnessing the frightening of this crisis which brought unprecedented challenges and hardships. With our concerned, we recently contributed by donating bedsheets, duvet covers, pillow cases and napkin to Cedar Learning Center (CLC) for the Linens for Life™ - a program to recycle hotels' used linens to help meet the needs of local communities.

Cedar Learning Center is a Bangkok-based refugee center initiative with the aim of providing education and humanitarian aid for refugee children and families most in need.

Through upcycling, Linens for Life™ has given these items new life by repurposing them into necessary life protection such as reusable face masks as well as creative items; newspaper bags and all-purpose bags. This project is not only benefits the environment and reduces hotel wastes, but also gives hope to refugees.
